Revitalization Program of Floral Garden in Kromeriz
Doležel, Martin ; Sochor, Jan (referee) ; Ponešová, Barbora (advisor)
THE GARDEN IN A CRISIS The first problem. Moving the entrance from the rotunda axis in the north to the area where the farmyard surrounded by greenhouses is situated. The consequence of this step was destruction of the conception of a floral garden and further, confusion of a visitor caused by the new and excentric garden entrance. The second problem. The original noble fill of the forefield has been perfectly cleaned, including the structure. Therefore the courtyard of honour is wedged in the two huge unspecific areas. The third problem. The nineteenth century is gone. Nowadays visitor is hard to please and unconcentrated. THE CONCEPTION Revitalisation and amendment of the forefield structure concept in subareas is both practical and it offers the esthetic quality which was lost. In relation to the axis of the garden, the area is adversely divided by some new buildings. These functional stripes make the optical barriers and they are clear in their axis. There are minimaly two six smaller areas created out of two bigger ones. Moving the main entrance from the courtyard to the rotunda center line means a possibility for the garden to step out towards its future development without some drastic changes in a objects which are part of a monument conservation but not functionally defined any more. The more, the garden gets its lost axiality, sense and a story about men's journey again. The application of the principles of the baroque garden in filling of the forefield gardens is either wrong or not considered properly. Polarized (and polar) gardens offer extreme positions of two contradictory trends. A superframed garden made by the nowadays technology versus a grove of wisdom where the nature is both a constructor and an architect. All of this with a baroque garden somewhere in its centre.

[Master's thesis] Prague 2016 - Charles University, Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education, 95 p. (Attachments: art work of pupils and my own art work on DVD). This Master's thesis is a theoretical study in which I explore the connections between moving pictures - experimental film and video art - and the developments in fine art in the second half of the 20th century. In the thesis I look into the topic of moving pictures, their specific characteristics and the distinctions between them, and I define the basic concepts. Based on selected key figures who linked experimental film, video art and fine art, I describe the key approaches and principles that emerged in relation to this field, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The teaching section presents three projects designed for and taught in art lessons, based on the work of some of the selected artists. The projects test the theoretical insights from the thesis through art lessons taught to schoolchildren aged 11 to 15. The thesis also comprises an art project, reflecting the insights obtained from the theoretical study, which became the platform for my own videos.

Moving of seniors to home for the elderly as a crisis life event
HORVÁTHOVÁ, Jaroslava
This thesis is focused on the issue of old age and aging. It is dedicated to moving of a senior to a home for elderly. Aim of the thesis was to determine whether elderly people see moving to a home for elderly as a life crisis event. This thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. Theoretical part lists and clarifies principal topics that blend together at the thesis. Those topics are old age, aging, life in old age, life crises and possible solutions of them. It is dedicated to the process of aging and its aspects, defines the concept of old age and delimits various forms of old age. It explains the term senior and lists specifics of senior age such as specific needs of seniors and life changes of seniors. It focuses more thoroughly on housing of seniors and the process of moving of seniors into a residential facility. It defines the concept of a crisis, introduces a typology of crises and describes crises situations and their solutions.Practical part of the thesis consists of a research. Strategy of a quantitative research, method of questioning and technique of a questionnaire has been chosen with respect to the topic. The data have been acquired by means of a questionnaire of my own construction. The questionnaire consists of 25 research questions in total. The research file consisted of 119 respondents. The data are statistically evaluated and the results are depicted by means of tables and charts. The results of the research suggest that one third of seniors deems moving to the home for elderly to be a crisis life event. Perception of moving as a crisis event is not connected to sex, age, education and is connected to marital status. This thesis points out how demanding the process of moving to a residential facility is for seniors. The results can be used as a base for future research of the topic, they can be used as an educational material and can be beneficial for staff of homes for elderly and families of seniors.
